Reginald Hardy Ferguson Sr., lovingly known as Reggie Reg, received his heavenly wings on the afternoon of Thursday, January 11, 2024. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024, 4:30 pm. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606 with Pastor Lee Hall-Perkins, Officiating.

Reginald Hardy Ferguson Sr. was born on September 19, 1953, to proud parents Wilbur and Betty Ferguson, in Trenton, NJ. While in Trenton, he welcomed his 1st born son, Shawn. After graduating from Trenton Central High School in 1971, Reggie, along with best friend, Ronnie Lyles, decided to join the United States Army. He served from 1974 - 1977 and was a member of the 82nd Airborne. While stationed at Fort Bragg, NC, he married Teresa Fuller and welcomed a daughter and son, Tamara, and Reginald. After relocating to Tampa, Reggie became a Car Salesman, where his extraordinary gift of gab was displayed. He performed so well that he was consistently awarded Salesman of the Month. During this time, he married Tina Marie Valerio and welcomed a daughter and two sons, Tanesha, Michael, and Nathaniel. Later, Reggie decided to venture into the healthcare field, and he worked at the James Haley Veterans Administration Hospital for the next 13 years. After retiring in 2018, Reggie was able to focus on his passion and pursue his art. His favorite past-time was to paint exquisite nature scenes and he enjoyed dancing with his wife, Gina. Reginald and Gina were married in a lovely ceremony, on February 14, 2023.

He was preceded in death by: his beloved parents, Wilbur and Betty Ferguson, his wife, Tina Ferguson and his son, Michael Ferguson.

He leaves behind to mourn, his cherished memories: his wife, Gina Ferguson; sons, Shawn Cooper, Trenton, NJ, Reginald Ferguson Jr. (Janelle), Tampa, FL, and Nathaniel Ferguson, Tampa, FL; daughters, Tamara Ferguson, Rocky Mount, NC, and Tanesha Valerio, Tampa, FL; 3 sisters, Rene Ferguson, Tampa, FL, Wanda Ferguson, Tampa, FL, and Nakeysha Ferguson, Tampa, FL; brothers, Billy Ferguson (Joanne), Tampa, FL, Ronald Lyles, Tampa, FL, and Richard Dunn, Tampa, FL; grandchildren, Asya Taylor, Hyquan Boyd, Rhyshawn Cooper, Wykia Cooper, Shawn Cooper, Jr., LaShaun Cooper, Calistia Cooper, Moneca Titus (Zachary), Dasia Williams, Kamari Williams, Neah Scott, Atelier Ferguson, Avier Ferguson, Nano-sun Mamone, Michael Ferguson, Mackenzie Ferguson, Calleigh Ferguson, and Mason Ferguson; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and dear friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 19, 2024 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
