Mr. Robert Lee Thompson peacefully departed this life on Friday, May 22, 2026, in Tampa, Florida, at the age of 83. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606, with Pastor Donald Lott, Officiating.
Robert was born on July 26, 1942. Robert dedicated many years of his life working as a truck driver, a career that reflected his hardworking spirit and dedication to providing for his family.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Robert Lee Thompson Sr. and Altemeas McCloud; as well as his beloved son, Craig Thompson.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories: his loving children, Altamease Ward, Rosemary
Thompson, Misty Thompson, Sandy Tolbert (Vincent), Anthony Thompson, and Robert Thompson Ill (Shirley); his sister, Altamease Norton; his brothers, Charles Thompson and Samuel Williams; along with a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.
Robert's memory will live on through the love he gave, the lives he touched, and the family he cherished deeply. He will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 1, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
