Ronald Craig Myles’ sun rose on November 17, 1958, in Tampa, Florida. He was born in one of then, two “colored” hospitals here in Tampa, Clara Fry Hospital (it was located on the property of modern-day H. W. Blake High School). He graduated from Hillsborough High School in 1976. He went on to proudly serve his country in the US Air Forces (Retired) for 23 years. During his services years, he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Tampa and post-service years, he obtained an MBA from the University of Phoenix.
Realizing his “gift for gab” and charm, Ronnie excelled at several car dealerships locally, starting as a salesman, but rapidly moving into management positions. He moved to Gainesville last year where he held his final sales manager position at Subaru of Gainesville in Gainesville, Florida.
He is preceded in death by: his Mother, Mary Alice Myles (1933-2021); Father, Griffin Myles, Sr. (1930-2005); and his eldest Brother, Ray A. Myles (1953-2017).
He leaves to mourn: his four Children, R. Cedric Myles, Ronda Myles, Morgan Nelson and Charmane Vasser (Charlotte, NC); Grandchildren, Ayden Miller, Royalty Nelson, and his beloved Corgi, Kobe; two Sisters, Mary D. (Lois) Myles, and Janice Myles; two Brothers, Griffin Myles, Jr. (Duke), and Darryl S. Myles; his mourning Nieces and Nephews, Torana Hunter Wright (James) of Dallas, TX, Angela Smith, Amber Myles Williams (Kobe) of Pensacola, FL, Ebony Myles-Klinger (Kevin) of Vancouver, WA, Miguel Myles, Rashema Myles, Janice Myles-Hinton (Ebony) of San Antonio, TX, Raynika Myles, Dominic Blaine Callaway (Tracy), Jenae Sampson, Ursula Prescott of Atlanta, GA, Savannah Myles, Dexter Myles, Griffin Myles III, and Felicia Porter; and a host of Grand GrandNieces/Nephews and Great GrandNieces/Nephews.
A special thanks to the VA Hospital in Gainesville, FL for their special care before and during Craig’s transition as they were great.
