Mr. Rory Donnell was born in Tampa, Florida on October 27, 1960, to the late Mr. Rudolph Donnell and Mrs. Patricia Donnell.
Rory graduated from Tampa Bay Technical High School in 1978 where he was an Honor student, a member of the football team, track and field, basketball team, and a member of the Small Engines Magnet Program.
Rory entered the military immediately after high school and served in the United States Army. He was a Field Artillery Cannon Crewman Gunner, assigned to C Battery, 2nd Battalion, 36th Field Artillery, Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Private First-Class Rory Donnell earned the Marksman Rifle M-16 Qualification Badge, and the Expert Hand Grenade Badge.
After being released from the military, Rory returned to Tampa, Florida and worked various jobs driving tractor trailers, and working in the auto mechanics industry. His passion was repairing cars and truck engines. Rory had a desire to one day own his own truck. Truck ownership did not materialize; however, the dream and desire remained in his heart. Rory freely dispensed advice in the auto mechanics industry until the end of his life’s journey.
Rory succumbed to colon cancer on May 19, 2025. He will forever live in the memories of his siblings, Daryl Donnell (Cynthia), Sharyl Snead (Esco), Vincent Donnell (Gwen), Sedalia Knight (Chad), Cory Roberts, and fiance, Angela Harris. He is also remembered by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
