Mr. Rudy Edward was born on July 1, 1971, to Fediana and Francis Edward, on the island of St. Lucia, W.I. As a child Rudy, then moved to Williams’s Delight on the island of St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands. There he attended Evelyn M. Williams Elementary School and Arthur A. Richards School. He later moved to Hialeah, FL then to Tampa, FL, and finally to the Bronx.
Rudy was a loving father, son, brother, and uncle. He had a great love for his family and friends, those who were near and far. He would often reach out to everyone to check-in and see how you were doing and share a memory of past interactions. Rudy was an avid sports fan. Any given Sunday, he would make his predictions of which NFL team would win. His picks would be 95% correct. Rudy other love besides sports, was food. He had a very healthy appetite and would always inquire what you were cooking or baking today and put in a request.
On November 7, 2022, Rudy transitioned to his eternal resting place. He leaves to cherish his memory: his precious daughter, Jade Edward Steward; special friend, Debbie Degree; parents, Fediana, and Francis; brothers, Leroy (Marsha), Mitchell (Diana), Michael (Karin), and Alvin (Veronica); sisters, Rubeka (Clay), and Eileen; nephews, Malik, Tyrique, Kaden, Josiah, and Christopher; nieces, Amanda, An’marie, Myah, Malia, Fediana, Krystal, Zanique, Naler, and Yaniel; great nephew, Jahsiel; great nieces, Judaea, and Jahanna; family friend, Percy James; and many other family, and friends too numerous to mention.
