Mr. Shanon Antuan McNair

Shanon Antuan McNair of Tampa, FL, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 6, 2026, surrounded by the warmth, love, and presence of his cherished family and friends.  Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.  Interment will follow in Orange Hill Cemetery, 4900 E. Chelsea Street, Tampa, FL 33610.

Shanon Antuan McNair, the beloved son of Marquetta McNair and John Oliver McNair, was born on February 14, 1972, in Oceanside, California. From the very beginning, Shanon was the living embodiment of being "his brother’s keeper." Though he was not the eldest, his natural protective instinct, deep love, and steady guidance led many to assume he was. The care and devotion he showed his siblings became the guiding light for how he lived his entire life, extending that same open heart to everyone he met through wise words, a helping hand, or a warm, comforting embrace.

At the age of 11, Shanon moved with his family from Tucson, Arizona, to Tampa, Florida. He attended King High School, where he excelled as a star linebacker on the football team. His talent earned him a scholarship to Iowa State University, but driven by his endless love and commitment to his family, Shanon chose to remain in Florida to continue caring for his younger brothers. This selfless sacrifice exemplified the defining character of his life.

Shanon’s passion for his craft began with a simple spark of inspiration in 2002 while living in Atlanta, Georgia. After getting his hands on his first saw and being told the possibilities it held, he put his deep work ethic and determination straight into motion. Driven by purpose, within just a few months, he had trimmed or cleared a tree at nearly every home in his neighboring subdivision.

Carrying that newfound calling back home to Tampa in 2003, Shanon founded “All American Tree Service,” pouring his heart, sweat, and soul into building it into the thriving business it is today. To Shanon, it was never just about the work; it was about caring for people. A true pillar of his community, he transformed everyday service into lifelong friendships, leaving an unforgettable mark on every home and heart he touched.

Above all his accomplishments, Shanon’s greatest pride and joy was his family. He was a deeply devoted and loving father to his five children: Quinton McNair, Khadeejah McNair, Daren McNair, Noah McNair, and Izaiah McNair. His absolute dedication to his children was inspiring, and that same boundless paternal love extended to his nephews: Trea McNair and Tyree “Bubba” McNair, whom he held dear and helped raise as his own.

He was preceded in death by: his father, John Oliver McNair; grandparents, John W. McNair, Sr., Lessie McNair and Billie Jean Williams; and uncle, John W. McNair, Jr.

Shanon’s jovial light, uplifting spirit, and timeless wisdom will be forever cherished and profoundly missed. He leaves behind a rich legacy of love through his mother, Marquetta McNair; his brothers, Sean, Shane (Shatina), and Stacey; his five children; and his four precious grandchildren, Reina, Daren Jr., Sherlock, and Nyeir; his Arizonian aunts and uncles, Larry McNair Sr., Donald McNair, Anthony McNair Sr., Shirley McNair, and Jackie McNair; Floridian aunts and uncle, Marjorie “Margie”, Michelle, Monica “Nikki” and Bruce. He also leaves behind a large host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were forever changed by knowing him.

It’s not goodbye; it’s see you later, my friend.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
