Mr. Tawan Green

Mr. Tawan L. Green, 40, of Tampa, FL passed away on Monday, September 8, 2025.  Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at Exciting Central Baptist Church, 2923 N. Tampa Street, Tampa, FL 33602 with Pastor Lennox Zamore, Officiating.  Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610.

Tawan was born and raised in Tampa, FL and graduated from Howard W. Blake High School.  He worked at Corey’s Auto Body Shop, Bob’s Detail Auto Shop and DoorDash.

He was preceded in death by: his father, Willie L. Green and brother, Jamar Green.

He leaves to cherish his memories:  his mother, Shirley J. Golden; stepfather, Marshall A. Golden; stepsister, Alexandria N. Golden and her son, Marshall A. Golden II; son, Damaris Green (Walekhia Walton, fiancée and family); God niece, Lashikia Gentry and family; sisters, Lashikia House (Nathan), Shondril Stephen, Tameka L. Green (Edward Beckwith, fiancé); brothers, Mario D. Green (Jameka), Jermaine Green and family, and Sugg Green and family; nieces and nephews, Nathan House, Jr., Jathan House, Kewan Green, Donald Bates (Ambernsha), Donald Bates, Jr., Nyla Bates, Renisha Taylor (Alonazo), Alani Taylor, Trenay Hodge, Trevor Hodge, Mekhi Hodge, Reginald Welch, Jamyiah Welch, Demitreus Green, Cherrish Green, Trenahia Fuller, Willneshia and Willie Henry, Leah Green, Emily Devine Green, Mario Green, Jr. and Azaryah Green and a large host of aunties and uncles, family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
