Mr. Thomas Vogel Jr.

Thomas “Jit” Vogel Jr of Tampa FL passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2023. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023, 2:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606 with Pastor Cherrie Green, Officiating. MASK RECOMMENDED.

A native of Minnesota, Tom attended Sauk Rapids High School. He relocated to Tampa in 1990 and was employed at Laney and Duke Land Trucking for several years. While employed, “Tommy” or “Jit” as he was affectionately called developed paternal and maternal relationships with the late Larry Hendrix, Harriet Doster, and James Shaw. He was currently employed at Saddle Creek Logistics Inc. for 17 years.

Tommy was preceded in death by: his Grandmother, Evelyn Prochnow; Grandmother, Evangeline Doster; and Cousin, Kwane Doster; Sister, Terry Schnobrich; Aunt, Linda Prochnow; and Brother-in-law, David Thompson

He leaves to mourn his passing: his Parents, Tom, and Marlene Vogel; Brothers, Todd, and Tim Vogel; Sisters, Cheryl Thompson, Lorie Pilantz, and Brenda Ostenorf; 9 Nieces, and Nephews; very dedicate Friend and Mother away from home, Harriet Doster; Brother and Roommate, Durwood Gwyn; Sister, Demetrial Doster; Uncles, Clarence Dawson, Robert “Pop” Doster, Ruben (Angela) Doster, and Zackary (Nita) Doster; Aunts, Ms. Kelly Doster, and Yolanda Doster; Nephews, Derrell Gwyn, and Bryan Fields; Great-Nephew, Derrell Gwyn Jr.; Family Members and Friends in the Tampa Bay Area including Saddle Creek friends: Justin, Chicken, Part-time, Chris, Giggles, Lisa, Booby, and David; a host of Cousins.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 17, 2023, 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.  MASK RECOMMENDED.
