Mr. Toby Lee Holton

Mr. Toby Lee Holton of Tampa, Florida passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2023. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610 with Reverend, Dr. Rayford Harper - Pastor of First Baptist Church of West Tampa, Officiating.  

Toby Lee Holton, a beloved resident of Tampa, Florida, passed away at the age of 60. He was born on May 28, 1963, in Piscataway, New Jersey, to the late Albert Sr. and Dorothy Holton. Toby’s warmth, kindness, and dedication touched the lives of many, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion and definitely a lot of good laughs. 

Toby’s journey led him to Tampa, where he became a cherished member of the community. He graduated from King High School with the Class of 1981 and furthered his education at Hillsborough Community College, earning his AA degree. Toby’s career as a savvy IT professional allowed him to assist countless friends, family members, and colleagues with their computer challenges.

Beyond his technical expertise, Toby possessed a passion for Music during the 1990s. His musical pursuits reflected his creative spirit and dedication to exploring new avenues of expression.

Toby was preceded in death by: his parents, Albert Sr., and Dorothy Holton; as well as his youngest daughter, Tovonna Holton.

He is survived by: his loving children, Kamilya Mathieu (Emmanuel), Toby Holton Jr., and Anthony Miller; sisters, Gloria Kelly (Michael), and Christina Warmack; along with his brother Albert Holton Jr. (Valerie), all mourn his loss.

Toby’s memory will be forever cherished by: his two aunts, Jeanette Mathis and Hazel Singleton; uncle, Robert Singleton (Hazel); and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, cousins, and a wide circle of beloved family and friends, all of whom were touched by his unwavering friendship and support.

A visitation will be held Friday, August 18, 2023, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
