Mr. Walter Hayes

Mr. Walter Hayes of Tampa, FL passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at Lakeland Regional Hospital.

Walter Hayes was born in Columbus, GA to Mildred and Andrew Hayes who preceded him in death. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the military, where he went to the Vietnam. Upon returning to the states, he worked numerous jobs. He later learned that he had injures to the brain from Vietnam.

He is preceded in death by: his brother, Johnny.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife of 54 years, Betty Hayes; aunt, Ola Larry; 4 nieces; 1 nephew; 2 brothers-in-law; devoted cousin, Greta Pearson; devoted friend and neighbor, Mrs. Evelyn Baker and Ronnie McNeil of Trenton, NJ; and a host of cousins and other family and friends.
