Mr. Willie Clark

Willie James (JW) Clark of Tampa, FL passed away on Monday, May 22, 2023. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at Holsey Temple CME Church, 3729 N. 15 Street, Tampa, FL 33610 with Reverend Dr. Lawrence Jefferson-Snorton, Officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610. MASK RECOMMENDED.

Willie James (JW) Clark was born September 25, 1940, to the late J.C. and Mattie B. Clark.  Willie was a native of Cordele Georgia and a resident of Tampa Florida for approximately 63 years.  Willie has been a devoted member of Holsey Temple for over 60 years.  He served on the Board of Trustee, the President of Usher Board #1, and a member of Usher Union #3.  Willie was a man with swag, he would wear an outfit for all occasions. Willie loved to travel on cruises and his favorite food was Mullet Fish. Willie retired from Harrell’s Fertilizer Inc. after many years of service.   

He leaves to cherish his memories: two sons, Daryal Taylor (Rose), and Torrence Peterson (Tiffany); grandchildren, Daryal Jr., Melissa Taylor, Mark Taylor (Marie), Chanel Peterson (Kyle),  Thykeys Peterson, and Ta’Niyah Peterson; great-grandchildren, Bruce Taylor, Rian, Rowen, and Genesis; sisters, Mattie B. Royal of Tampa, FL, Fannie (James) Davis, Ashburn GA., Annie Mae (Robert) Gaston, Tampa FL, and Rubye Smith Valdosta GA; brother, Calvin Clark of Cordele GA.; nieces, Christine, Ellen, Diane (Joe), Grace, Gloria, Audrey, Debra (Billy), Veronica (Marlon), Gloria Jean, Barbara, Angela (Lavanaugh), and Pamela (Kalvin); nephews, John Jr., Bobby, Robert Jr. (Brenda), Fredrick (Robin) Ronnie, Michael (Lutreya), Jamie (Chaka), Alfonso (Venessa), Calvin Jr. (Larrica), Zachary, Dondrell, Anthony, and Lamar; a longtime devoted friend, Elizabeth Ann Waters; and a host of great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023, 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel. MASK RECOMMENDED.
