Born in Camilla, Georgia, Willie later made Tampa his lifelong home, where he built a legacy rooted in family, faith, and hard work. Willie devoted many years to serving his community as a landscaper, courtesy driver, and church chef, roles that brought him pride and purpose. Known for his unwavering strength, he was the pillar of his family — a man who stood firm in his beliefs, spoke his mind, and always made sure his household and loved ones were cared for. Willie was stubborn in the way strong men often are, yet giving in ways that touched everyone around him. A devoted and loving husband, he shared 56 years of marriage with his late wife, Mildred L. Williams.
He was preceded in death by: his beloved wife, Mildred; his daughter, Beverly Parham; and his son, Willie A. Williams, Jr.
Willie leaves to cherish his memory: his children, Melvin Williams (Cecilia), Brigette Buster (Paul), Timothy Williams (Daphne), and Tommy Williams (June); his beloved sister-in-law, Laura “Sweetie” Snow; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; special friends, Evangelist Henrietta Glover and Natalie Preston; and many extended family members and friends who will forever honor his life and legacy.
The family celebrates a man who was always prepared, always protective, and always present — a provider in every sense of the word. His love, strength, and generosity will live on through the generations he helped shape.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to all who have offered prayers, support, and love during this time of loss.
