Mr. Willie Dell Singleton of Tampa, FL passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025, 2:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
Mr. Willie Dell Singleton was born to the late Henry Mandell Singleton and Velma Lee Evans-Thomas in Oak Hill, FL. Willie attended elementary school in Volusia County and attended Chisholm High School in New Smyrna Beach, FL. He later joined the US Army on March 25, 1971; after returning home he was surrounded by family and friends, he liked to go fishing and loved the outdoors. For the last 13 years he resided in the care of his sister, Betty and her husband, Andy in Tampa, FL; and for the last 10 years at Whispering Oaks Nursing Home. He and his sister talked about God, and he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
He was preceded in death by: his brothers, James Thomas and Willie Lee Singleton; and grandson, Xavior Singleton.
He leaves to cherish fond memories: his children, Willie Dell Singleton Jr., Dade County, FL, Treyana Singleton, Daytona Beach FL, Trevor Singleton, and stepdaughter Yolonda Bozeman, both of New Smyrna Beach, FL; grandchild, Ayari Singleton; step grandchildren, Yaquille Bozeman and Jaquen Wood; brothers, Nathaniel Singleton and Freddie Lee Singleton both of Ft.Lauderdale, FL; sisters, Betty Vidal (husband), Armando (Andy) of Locust Grove, Georgia, Pearl Singleton of Dania Beach, FL, Alesia Singleton-Manley of Holly Hill FL, and Retha Singleton-Charles (husband) Felix of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; sisters-in-law, Jean Thomas Ft Lauderdale FL and Lori Singleton, Oak Hill FL; aunt, Thelma Lee Maye (husband) Leonard Oconee, Georgia; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
