Altamese Delores was born January 17, 1938, to the late Mitchell “Mitch” McLeod and Daisy Mae Wilder in Tampa, FL. She attended grade school at Dunbar Elementary. An avid basketball player, she played right guard position throughout her time at Carver Jr. High and Middleton Sr. High. She also found her love for music while playing the Obie in Middleton Sr. High School Tiger’s Marching Band. Upon graduation, she attended and graduated from Tampa Bay Cosmetology. After many successful years, styling clients, she embarked on the adventure of life. Marrying the late Zachariah J. White and traveling the world through the United States Airforce with deployments in international and domestic locations. Her greatest accomplishment was the title of mother to her 4 children, Nedra, Carol, Zachary, and Mark. The matriarch of the family, she was the mother to us all; often keeping her grandchildren and great-grandchildren very close. After emptying the nest, she navigated a second career with Eastern airlines and G.T.E/Verizon for the next 20 years. During this time, her anointing for the gospel continued to thrive where she dedicated her time to the ministry. Even up until her last days, she was constantly enjoying praise and worship.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; father, Mitchell McLeod.; mother, Daisy Mae Wilder McLeod; brothers, Ernest McLeod, and Alvin McLeod; sisters, Cora Lee Owens, Elizabeth Brown, and Alma Ammons; uncle, Dan Wilder; nephew, Earl White; great niece, Yolanda Streeter; cousins, Daniel Wilder Jr., John Wilder, Douglas Wilder, and Chester Wilder; grandson, Matthew White; great-grandson Marqueas (Papi) Williams; and daughter-in-law, Tonya White.

She leaves to cherish her memories: children, Nedra (Charles), Carol, Zachary, and Mark; grandchildren, Robert, Reginald, Tiffaney, Ashley, Morgan, Kaniche, Jonathan, Kiana, Jordan, Kenyari, Kaleb, Jalen, and Tristen; great grandchildren, Melannie, Jarius, Jamarcus, Mekiyana, Jasmine, Marqueas, Reginald, Ya’Riyah, Trinity, Cobe, and Tailynn; great-great grandchildren, Sophia, Nathan, and Hakeem; nephew, Ernest; niece, Daisy; great nephews, Warren, Andre, and Karl; great nieces, Wanda, Tracy, and  Kim; great grandnieces, Christina, and Giana; and a host of other sorrowing nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
