Mrs. Annie Doris Branton of Tampa, FL passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024, 1:00 pm at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 3005 East Ellicott Street, Tampa, FL 33610 with Minister Bruce Bryant, Officiating. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery, 4207 East Lake Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610.
Annie Doris Branton was a native of Cordele, GA, and a resident of Tampa for over 50 years. She was educated in the public schools of Crisp County and was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. Her employment included Singleton Shrimp County for over 18 years then Hillsborough County’s Department of Aging Services as a Home Health Aide for 29 years before retiring.
Annie Doris was preceded in death by: her parents, Deacon Aaron “Boy” Gaston, Sr. of Cordele, GA, and Doris Sanders-Gaston of Cordele, GA; sister, Bertha Norwood of Cordele, GA; brothers, Pastor Clemmie C. Gaston, Sr., Edmond Gaston of Cordele, GA, James Edwards Jr., of Jacksonville, FL, Lonnie James “LJ” Gaston, Peter Gaston both of Tampa, FL and Lorenzo Gaston, Sr. of St. Petersburg, FL.
She leaves to cherish her memories: a devoted Husband of 26 years, Isaac Branton, Sr. of Tampa, FL; daughter, Trena Gaston-Gardner (Ramiel) of Tampa, FL; step-son, Isaac Branton, Jr. of Tampa, FL; grandsons, Isaac Branton III, Marquise Branton, and Xavier Gardner of Tampa, FL; granddaughters, Errin Gardner, Ragan Gardner, and Tyshreeica Branton of Tampa, FL; brothers, Robert Lee Gaston, Sr. (Annie Mae) and Bobby Dean Gaston, both of Tampa, FL; sister-in-law, Scellar Barnett of Spring Hill, FL; God sisters, Donna C. Boston (Terry) of Cordele, GA, Melany Jackson of Tampa, FL, and Patricia Jackson-Larry (Jarvis) of Tampa, FL; the entire New Hope M.B. Church Family; LaTesa Hall, Home Healthcare Companion; staff from the Woodbridge Care Center; and a host of loving and caring nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
A visitation will be held on Friday, August 16, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 3005 East Ellicott Street, Tampa, FL 33610.
