Mrs. Annie Ruth Sureller of Tampa, FL, passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2026. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at The Center for Manifestation, 3102 E. Lake Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610, with Elder Kimberly Kitchen, Officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610.
Mrs. Annie was a native of Dawson, Georgia and a resident of Tampa for 67 years. She attended Howard W. Blake High School and was employed as a Lunchroom Aide at Cleveland Elementary School.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Nelson Sureller, Jr.; sister, Sharon Watkins; brother, Jessie Lee Darns, Jr.; father, Jessie Lee Darns, Sr.; granddaughters, Carlette Battle and Clarissa Brown; and grandsons, Kevin Jackson and Charles Thomas.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her mother, Mary Dell Darns; sister, Gloria Fowler; children, Glen Wiggins Jr. (Fran), Octavia Powell (Donovan), Richard Darns (Jackie), Clarissa Sureller (Carlos), Aaron Sureller, and Clarence Sureller (Dexstastia); grandchildren, Glen Wiggins, III, Chaviera Godfrey, Xavier Powell, Clarence Sureller, Jr., Breyanna Wiggins, Richard Darns, Jr., Dasia Darns, Sharrod Darns, Miley Sureller, Ayden Sureller, and Janiya Wiggins; great grandchildren, Ricardo Brown, Jr., Glen Wiggins, IV, Liam Wiggins, and Geno Wiggins; stepchildren, Nelson Sureller, III, Sonia Miller, Claudette Jones, Lisker Scott, Tammy Hill, Rita Baham, and Zachary Sureller; nieces and nephews, David Darns, Maurice Fowler, Larry Fowler, Broderick Darns, Showanda Darns, Anthony Darns, Larry Darns, Tracey Darns, Jasmine Darns, and Keeyana Darns; and a host of family and friends that loved and cherished her.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
