Mrs. Barbara Storey

Mrs. Barbara Scott Ivey Storey passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.

Mrs. Barbara Scott Ivey Storey affectionately known as "Dollie" was born September 5, 1940, in Thomasville, Georgia to Earnest Scott Sr. and Mary Ellis Scott. She was educated in the local schools and graduated from Frederick Douglas High School. She met and married Willie C. Ivey in Thomasville, Georgia, and to this union they were blessed with two daughters and later relocated to Tampa, Florida where she worked in the Retail Store Industry. She was a member of New Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.

Babara was preceded in death by: her husband, Willie C. Ivey; ex-husband, Bobby Storey Jr.; parents, Earnest and Mary Ellis Scott.; brothers, Peter Green, Willie J. Scott, and Wayne Scott Sr.; sisters, Berthene Small, Doris Scruggs, and Beatrice Scott Polite; and best friend, Birdie Powell Schiele.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory: her two daughters, Deborah Ivey Lewis (Jackie), and Gracie Ivey Curry (Joseph); sister, Joann Scott of Cleveland, Ohio; brothers, John C. Scott of Washington, D.C., Frank Scott Sr. (Reama) of Tampa, FL, and Earnest Scott Jr. of Thomasville, GA; goddaughters, Bernice Hall, Latrece Welch, LaDaysha Welch, and Linda Hobdy (Fred); godson, Franklin Murphy; best friend of 60 years, Hazel Fields and family; Tampa special friend, Curtis Sampson; niece, Diane Wyche (Alonzo) of Thomasville, GA; and a host of nieces and nephews.
