Mrs. Chris Ann Hymes Williams

Chris Ann Hymes Williams of Tampa, FL, passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2026.  Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606 with Elder Prince Lavan, The Church of The Kingdom of God, Officiating.  Interment to follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610.

Chris Hymes Williams, born on November 2, 1966, in Tampa, Florida, was a devoted woman of faith.  She dedicated her life to serving God and ministering to others. Chris was well known for leading praise and worship services, as well as her unwavering passion for teaching and mentoring young people within the church.

She worked for many years at Saint Leo University.  Her commitment to the ministry continued throughout her years of teaching youth at the Church of The Kingdom of God Inc. Later, she answered the call to pastoral leadership at Emmanuel Tabernacle Church in Port Tampa.

Chris was preceded in death by: her father, Estar Hymes; and her sister, Wanda Gail Hymes- Siplin.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her loving mother, Christine Hymes; her beloved children, Jerald Williams and Jasmine Williams; siblings, Lynn Shree Hymes, Mark Hymes (Cassandra), Van Hymes (Kimberly), and Tameka Hymes; nieces and nephews, Kevin Hymes, Steven Christler, Alan Michael Christler, Shanika Green, Shawnice Hymes, Allenesha Davis, Andrew Harris, Kierra Hymes, Mark Hymes Jr., Van Hymes Jr., Mia Hymes, Jasmine Hymes and a host of family members, church family, friends, and loved ones who will forever treasure her legacy of faith, love and service.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
