Mrs. Clara M. Glover of Port Tampa, FL passed away on Friday, October 18, 2024. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024, 11:00 a.m. at St John Progressive Missionary Baptist Church, 2504 Chipco Street, Tampa, FL 33605 with Dr. Bartholomew Banks Sr., Officiating.
Clara Glover was a native and a lifelong resident of Tampa, FL born January 11, 1962. She was the youngest of 7 children. She graduated from Jefferson High School and was a member of St John Progressive M.B. Church. She was a loving wife, an awesome grandmother, and a wonderful caregiver to all.
In her early life, at Pierce Junior High School, she broke records in track and field. She continued that journey at Jefferson High School, where she met the love of her life, Jarvis Glover. They spent 5 wonderful years together before getting married on December 2, 1983. To this union, 2 children were born, LaDaisha and Jarvis Jr. Clara was an amazing Homemaker, raising not only her children but many of the Port Tampa community. Clara was known as the life of the party and was adored by everyone she came into contact with.
She was preceded in death by: her father, Isaac Siplin; mother, Mary Stewart; brothers, Jimmy Stewart, Joseph Siplin, Isaac Siplin Jr., and Albert Siplin; and sister, Cora Height.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her loving husband, Jarvis Glover Sr.; daughter, Ladaishia Glover-Stewart (William); son, Jarvis Glover Jr. (Bailey); sister, Victoria Young (Clarence); aunt, Rhonda Shirley (Vilmod); 4 grandsons, William Stewart, Jarvis Michael Glover, Henry Stewart, and Jalen Glover; nieces, Sebrina Height, Chatwanda Young, Kimberly Siplin Yarn, Nancy Siplin-Sanders, Darlene Siplin Bryant, Crystal Siplin, Nakena Cusick, Mary Newton, Arkisha Taylor, Avion Ellis, and Rolunda Ellis; nephews, Paul Heights (Sharon), Reginald Height, Ricardo Young, and Joseph Siplin (Tonya); special cousins, Glovers of Orlando, FL and Siplins of Bradenton, FL; cousins, Anthony Siplin (Brenda), Rev. Joreatha Capers, Rev. Cedrita Siplin Reid, Vanessa Siplin Williams, Maxine Alston, Agnes Knight, Nora Simpson, Betty Ewings, Rose Lee Riles, Gwen Baker, Dorothy Ross, Lovenia Driver (Syvania), Wilbur Simpson, and Everett Simpson; God daughters, Quinnetta Marsh and Eugena Miller; God granddaughter, Trinity Bulmer; special friends, Carolyn Williams and Alphanette Jenkins; Port Tampa Family; and a host of other sorrowing relatives and friends.
