Mrs. D'Metria Mercer

Mrs. D’Metria Mercer of Wimauma, FL passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2024. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 1, 2024, 11:00 a.m. at Word of Grace and Truth Church, 3001 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610 with Rev. Curt L. McKay, Officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery, 11005 U.S. Highway 301 N., Thonotosassa, FL 33592.

D’Metria Mercer was a native of Tampa, FL, and a resident of Tampa for 44 years. She attended Bloomingdale High School, Hillsborough Community College, and the University of Phoenix and was a member of the Abundant Life Worship Center. She was employed as an Account Management Specialist at the American Cancer Society.

She was preceded in death by: mother, Rae B. Mercer.

She leaves to cherish her memory with: her husband, Jerrod Leigertwood; children, Jade Leigertwood, and Tyler Scott; father, Frankie Mercer; and a host of sorrowing relatives and friends.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 31, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Word of Grace and Truth Church, 3001 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610.
