Mrs. Edith Jackson Hopkins

Mrs. Edith L. Jackson-Hopkins of Zephyrhills, Florida, passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2025. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, 2:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606, with Rev. Brian K. Brown, officiating. Interment will follow in Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, FL 33513.

Mrs. Edith L. Jackson-Hopkins was born in St. Petersburg, Florida, and has been a resident of Tampa for 65 years. She attended Middleton Senior High School and continued her education at Hillsborough Community College. She was employed as a Court Reporter at Child Support Enforcement.

She was preceded in death by: her daughter, Denis Hopkins; her spouse, Willie Hopkins; her mother, Elouise Munnerlyn; and her father, James Jackson.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her children, Robert Thomas, Lolieta Thomas, Jenny Jones (Arnold), Andrea Hopkins (Olanrewaju), Carvestar Thomas, Gabriel Solomon (LySaundra), and Chandrea Hernandez (Darrell); a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; her brothers, Thomas Jackson and Lewis Jackson (Patricia); her sister, Linda Munnerlyn; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other sorrowing relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
