Mrs. Eleanor Thompson

Mrs. Eleanor N. Thompson of Tampa, FL passed away on Monday, August 12, 2024. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 23, 2024, 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of West Tampa, 1302 N. Willow Avenue, Tampa, FL 33607 with Reverend Dr. Rayford Harper, Officiating. Interment will follow in Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, FL 33513.

Mrs. Eleanor Thompson was a native of Beaufort, South Carolina and a resident of Tampa, FL for 50 years. She attended George S. Middleton High School and was a member of First Baptist Church of West Tampa. She was employed as a Customer Service Representative for the Defense Army and Air Force Exchange Services.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband of 71 years, Alfonso Thompson Sr.; daughter, Rhonda Williams; sons, Alfonso Thompson Jr. (Natasha), and Derric E. Thompson (Bridgette); sisters, Nellie Singleton (Nathan), Servella Wrotten (Ernest), Ernestine Wynn, and Gloria Woods; brothers, Arthur Small, and William Simmons (Ella); and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, family, and friends.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
