Mrs. Elloreece Beulah Burrell, RN, OD, 94, of Pasco County Florida, passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at the BayCare Hospital in Wesley Chapel. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 28, 2024, 11:00 a.m. at Beulah Baptist Institutional Church, 1006 W. Cypress Street Tampa, Florida 33606, Rev. Alan Harris, Senior Pastor, Officiating. Interment will follow in Trinity Memorial Gardens, 12609 Memorial Dr, Trinity, FL 34655.
Elloreece Beulah “Sweety” Burrell was born in St. Mary, Jamaica, and resided in the U.S. for several years. Elloreece worked as a Registered Nurse at the University Hospital, Kingston, Jamaica, Doctor’s Hospital, New York City, and the James A. Haley VA Hospital, Tampa Florida. Elloreece was passionate about service and based on her volunteer efforts received the Order of Distinction (OD) for her years of dedication in leading medical missions to the island of Jamaica.
Her memory will also be cherished by a host of family and friends in the U.S., Jamaica, Canada and London.
Elloreece was preceded in death: by her loving husband, Mr. Leslie Burrell; and younger siblings, Mrs. Grace Francis, Mrs. Princess Riley, and Mr. Aubrey Burton.
She is survived by: her daughters, Dr. Leslene Gordon, and Mrs. Audrey McKenzie; sons-in-law, Mr. Courtney Gordon and Mr. Warder McKenzie; grandchildren, Mr. Marlon Gordon, Ms. Melissa McKenzie, Mr. Stirling McKenzie, and Mr. Michael Gordon; and great-grandchildren Kingston Gordon, Isabella Gordon and Jaxon Gordon; and several loving nieces and nephews.
A Visitation will be held on Monday, October 28, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Beulah Baptist Institutional Church, 1006 W. Cypress Street Tampa, Florida 33606.
