Mrs. Eufa Washington-Eberhart Obituary

Mrs. Eufa Washington Eberhart of Tampa, FL, peacefully transitioned to her heavenly home on Monday, May 18, 2026, and now rests in the presence of the Lord.  Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, 4202 W. Nassau Street, Tampa, FL 33607, with Rev. Beverly Green, Officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610.

Mrs. Eberhart was born on March 8, 1940, in Albany, Georgia, to Lessie Mclntyre and Booker T. Washington, Sr. She was a proud native of Albany, Georgia, and a longtime resident of Tampa, Florida, for 69 years. She received her education in the public schools of Albany, Georgia, and later became a faithful and dedicated member of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church. She was a dedicated, hardworking employee who worked in the warehouse at Clorox.

Above all, Mrs. Eberhart was the heart of her family.  She was a righteous woman who loved the Lord and lived by His word. She believed in doing what was right, even when it was not easy. She often reminded those around her not to repay evil for evil, but to trust God in all things, knowing that He sees and blesses those who walk in righteousness.

Her life was a reflection of her faith, quiet, strong, and full of grace. She was a loving, devoted wife, nurturing mother, devoted grandmother and great-grandmother. Known for her kind spirit, gentle heart, and unwavering strength, she gave love freely and selflessly. Her presence brought comfort, wisdom, and warmth to everyone blessed to know her.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her beloved husband, Curtis Eberhart Sr.; son, Curtis Eberhart Jr.; sisters, Irene McMillian, Verdell Harris, and Lessie Hooks; and brother, George Washington.

She leaves to cherish her beautiful memory: her devoted daughters, Valerie Eberhart and Sandra Eberhart; her loving sons, Jeffery Eberhart (Jackie), Darrell Eberhart (JoAnn), and Cedrick Eberhart; her brother. Booker T. Washington; sister, Ozell Washington.  She also leaves a legacy of love through her grandchildren; Curtis Eberhart III, Carlotta Jenkins, Cedricka Eberhart, Lecinda Eberhart, Deanna Eberhart, Delphine, Derrick, Demetrius, Marx Lowe Jr., Rameil Standberry, Riyada Standberry, Christian Murillo (Lidia), Brittany Murillo, Mariah Lowe, Sade Eberhart, Sharika Eberhart, Steven Eberhart, Curtis Eberhart IV, Jamiah Eberhart, Alexis and Aaliyah Eberhart, Chantique Eberhart, Latoya Eberhart, Kimberly Eberhart, Porsha Eberhart, Charese Eberhart, Jeffery Eberhart Jr.; sisters-in-law, Lucy Dessesseau, Shirley Hutchins, and Corrie Livingston; brother-in-law, Raymond Hooks; a special niece, the original Valerie Eberhart, Gilbert Washington; great grands, Herbert Jenkins III, Ariyana Brown, Alphonso Wright III, Aaliyah Brown, Armani Lowe, Ahmad Lowe, Rain'ey Standberry, Ayce Foster, Rai Lani Burton, and Autumn Harris; along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and loved ones.

Mrs. Eberhart's life was a testimony of faith, love, and righteousness. She did not just speak of God; she lived for Him. Her legacy will live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who were blessed to know her. If we have inadvertently omitted anyone, please charge it to our heads and not our hearts.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, 4202 W. Nassau Street, Tampa, FL 33607.
