Beyond her many accomplishments, she found true joy in the simple pleasures of life—dancing, singing in church, cooking, listening to music, and most importantly, cherishing time with her beloved family. She embraced life with boundless enthusiasm and a heart overflowing with gratitude.
Family was the foundation of Frances’s life. She was a devoted and loving wife to Clarence Carswell, whom she married on April 9, 1951. Together, they built a home filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. As a mother, she was a pillar of strength and wisdom, instilling in her children the values of hard work, compassion, and integrity. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she treasured every moment spent with them.
Frances was also a faithful member of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, where she served with dedication and love. She was well known for her generosity, her willingness to help others, and her kind spirit. Many remember her as someone who would give selflessly to anyone in need. Her legacy of kindness and service will forever be cherished by all who knew her.
Frances was preceded in death by: her parents, Joe and Leatrice Lott; her brother, Herman Lott; and her sisters, Gladys Lott Pierce, Lynn Lott, and Shirley Lott Dixon.
