Mrs. Janice L. Owens Anderson

Mrs. Janice Owens Anderson of Tampa, FL passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2024. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024, 2:00 p.m. at Vertical Tampa Church (formerly Without Walls Church), 4414 N. Grady Avenue, Tampa, FL 33614, with Tonya Wright-Stevenson, officiating.

Janice Owens Anderson was born on October 6, 1954, in Tampa, Florida to the late Lois Owens and Isaiah Brown. She attended Howard W. Blake High School and earned a bachelor’s degree at the University of Tampa.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Ronald K. Anderson Sr.; son, Ronald K. Anderson Jr.; parents, Lois Owens and Isaiah Brown; three siblings, Edwards Beullah, George Shephard III, and Charles Canty; grandparents, Alice and Henry Owens; uncle, Wilbur Owens; and aunt, Ruby Smith.

She leaves to cherish her memories: the unforgettable love of her life of 37 years, John Polite; siblings, Barbara J. Canty-Gordon, Cecelia Scott, Dwlight Bolden, and Joyce Williams; children, Barbara Brown (Jean), Carlos Anderson (Teia), Tameka Rodgers (Curtis), Ebony Davis, Reshard Anderson (Valorie), Tonya Polite, Vorian Polite, Dontae Polite, Katrina Polite, Greg Polite, and Rhonda Keith; grandchildren, Kevrick (Princess), Carlos Jr., Darealle (Shanae), Kiosha (Andrea), Ceonna, Mondranisha, Michellae, Dereck (LaRhonda), Curtis Jr, Ta’Mia, Edgar Jr., Jeffery, Ja’yani, Jah’mari, Reshard Jr., Voronica, Valisha,  Alexis, Randall, and Marquist; great-grandchildren, Jayden, Kevrick Jr., King ‘ Kartier, Kahamiri, Kaveh, Amaryst, Rodney Jr., Keiyonii, De’ Shaun, Dream, Kae Lynn, and  Dereck Jr.; nieces, Tynessa (Curtis) Conchita (Darron) Tammy, Michele, Chantel, Carmen, Christie, Charlotte, Alease Ashlee, Alyssa, Blaire, and  Crystal; nephews, Charles Jr., Noah, George Jr, and Derrick Torrance; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
