Mrs. Jessica Robinson-Nicks Obituary

With profound sadness and loving remembrance, the family of Jessica Lynette Robinson-Nicks announces her passing on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at the age of 65. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606. Interment will be at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, FL 33513.

Born on July 23, 1961, Jessica was the beloved daughter of Levada Robinson and “Jack” Robinson. She was raised in a close-knit family whose roots stretched from Florida to New Jersey, especially the Newark, Keyport, and Matawan communities that became central to the Robinson family's story.

Jessica shared the bonds of sisterhood with Sherry E. Robinson and Charlotte Robinson. Although both sisters preceded her in death, the memories, experiences, and family ties they shared remained an enduring part of Jessica's life.

Jessica eventually made her home in Riverview, Florida, where she shared her life with her husband, Lawrence Nicks. Their marriage and companionship became an important chapter in Jessica's journey.

Those who knew Jessica will remember her as a kind-hearted and caring person with a gentle spirit and a genuine love for others. That compassion extended to animals, which held a particularly special place in her heart.

Jessica was also a gifted and creative artist. Art was one of the ways she expressed herself and shared her imagination with the world. She loved to draw and paint, and her creativity extended into crafting and even creating murals. Whether working on a canvas, a craft, or transforming a larger space through a mural, Jessica had the ability to see beauty and possibility and then use her hands and imagination to bring that vision to life.

Her creativity was more than simply a hobby. It was part of who Jessica was—a reflection of her personality, her patience, and the unique way she viewed the world around her. The things she created remain another expression of the life she lived and the gifts she shared.

Family was an important part of Jessica's life. She was a loving stepmother to Bryce Barnes, and she held a special place in the lives of the generations of family surrounding her. Her legacy lives not simply in the years she lived, but in the relationships she nurtured, the memories she created, the artwork she left behind, and the love shared among those who called her wife, stepmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.

She was preceded in death by: her father, “Jack” Robinson; and her beloved sisters, Sherry E. Robinson and Charlotte Robinson.

Jessica leaves to cherish her memory: her devoted husband, Lawrence Nicks; her stepson, Bryce Barnes; her beloved mother, Levada Robinson; her niece, Morayneki Walters, and Morayneki's husband, Albert Walters; their children, Xzavier and Mason; along with a loving extended family of relatives and friends who will continue to carry her memory forward.

The passing of Jessica represents another chapter in the remarkable story of the Robinson family—a family connected across generations, communities, and states, from New Jersey to Florida. Yet the bonds created by those who came before her and those who remain are not measured by geography or time. They live through memories, family stories, traditions, laughter, lessons, creativity, and love.

Jessica's physical presence will be deeply missed, but her place within the Robinson family remains forever secure. Her kindness will be remembered, her creativity will live through the art she created, and her love will remain with the people whose lives she touched.

Her story now becomes part of the family's enduring legacy, carried forward by those who knew her, loved her, and will continue to speak her name.
