Mrs. Joan Raiford

Mrs. Joan Raiford of Tampa, FL by way of Chicago, IL transitioned on Thursday, January 9, 2025. Funeral Services are being held on Friday, January 24, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at Bible Based Fellowship Church, 4811 Ehrlich Road Tampa, FL 33624 with Anthony C. White, Officiating.

Joan, born October 13, 1952, will be greatly missed by so many. Joan was a loving and supportive wife, mother, nana, and friend. Joan valued family, she loved and trusted God and was dedicated to her family and church family where she was member and servant for over 30 years.  The resilience Joan displayed throughout her life was admirable and her life was a testament of God’s grace and love.

Joan was preceded in death by: her mother, Lena Mae Davis; father, Zollie Davis; sister, Lena Mae Davis; brother-in-law, Eddie Raiford; sister-in-law, Betty Franklin.

She leaves behind: her husband, Reginald Raiford;  her children and grandchildren, Talonda Davis, Terrance Patton (Isaiah Patton, Aleena Turnquist, and Kylo Patton), Tiffany Patton (Caleb Languedoc, Joshua Languedoc, Lyric Languedoc and Jade Languedoc), of Tampa, FL;  her sister, Eunice Dixon of Chicago, IL; God-Granddaughter, Reshayla Nelson (Ra’shad Hendrix, Ti’yani Burney  and Na’siar Burney), Tampa, FL; brother-in-law, Jimmy Raiford (Rose Raiford); sisters-in-law, Shirley McLain, and Cynthia Oates; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and friends who became family.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
