Mrs. Joyce Turner Austin

Mrs. Joyce Turner Austin of Tampa, Florida passed away Monday, March 11, 2024. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024, 11:00 a.m. at St. John Progressive MB Church, 2504 Chipco Street, Tampa, FL 33605 with Reverend Dr. Bartholomew Banks, Officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens, 11005 U.S. Highway 301 N., Thonotosassa, FL 33592.

Mrs. Joyce Turner Austin was a native of Tampa, Florida for 80 years. She attended Howard W. Blake High School, Class of 1962. She was a member of St. John Progressive MB Church, The Charmettes, Incorporated, Retired and Proud, and the Moffitt Patient and Family Advisory Council. She was employed as a Property Manager at Tampa Housing Authority (J. L. Young) for 22 years.

She leaves to cherish her memories with: her husband, John A. Austin; daughters, Tia Young (Victor), and Felicia Jordan (Perry); son, Robert Austin (April); granddaughters, Taylor Young, Jordyn Young Santiago (Jason), Anita Young, Sydney Jordan, and Madison Jordan; great-granddaughters, Olivia Young Messenger and Sophia Santiago; Nieces/Nephews/Cousins, Lee Turner, Verlane Franklin, Valerie Turner, Angelina Smith (Charles), Felicia Godfrey (Jermaine), Kimberly Godfrey, Sylvia Godfrey, David Godfrey (Kimberly), Walter Godfrey (Valerie), Frederick Godfrey (Sheryl), Beatrice Sims, Harold Sims, Iyana Sims Titus Richards (Dave), and Yvonne Andrews (Dwayne); God-daughters, Carmi Thomas Brown (Tyran) and Whillia Peoples (Juan); and a host of other family members and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at St. John Progressive MB Church, 2504 Chipco Street, Tampa, FL 33605.
