Mrs. Lillie Mae Young Obituary

A Homegoing Celebration will be held for Mrs. Lillie Mae Young, of Wimauma, FL, who passed away on Tuesday, November 27, 2024. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024, 11:00 a.m. at Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, 5909 Vel St., Wimauma, FL, 33598, Reverend Ikie Bunton, Officiating. The interment will follow in Wimauma Memorial Cemetery.

Lillie Mae Young was born on December 25, 1944, to the late Ada and Aaron Jackson in Hollandale Mississippi. She was educated in the public school system in Hollandale, Mississippi. She worked for the Hillsborough County Public School Transportation System for 33 years, where she dedicated her service to caring for children. Upon her death, she was a high-spirited, caring, loving person who always put family first.

 She was preceded in death by: a loving, devoted husband, Robert Young Jr.; daughter, Brenda Jackson; parents, Ada and Aaron Jackson; brother, Jimmie Dale Jackson; sisters, Pearlie Hemingway, Rosemary Jackson, Mary Spencer, Shirley Hamilton, Patricia Jackson, Jacqueline Jackson, Hattie Lee Stenson, Doristene Jackson, and Gwendolyn Jackson; father and mother-in-law, Robert and Irene Young; and brother-in-law, Johnny Young Sr.  

She Leaves to cherish her fond memories: children, Deloise (Ronnie Weston), Catherine (Elliott Walden Sr.), and Tracey Young; sister, Margaret Penn; brothers, Aaron Jackson and Earnest Jackson; grandchildren, Dekesha (Darius McDonald), Lashawn Garner, Ronnie Weston Jr,  Jarrell Garner, Trevon (Tara) Young, Jalen Walden, and Malik Walden; great grands, Aubree Weston, Elijah Garner, Rue McDonald, Promise Walden, Taija Young, Jalen Walden Jr., Kay McDonald Trevon Young Jr., and  Kyng Walden; brother-in-law, Charlie Young; sisters-in-law, Retha Brown, Christine Young, Joyce Matthias, Lois Young, and Patricia Young; special nieces, Shirley Brown and Dellarine Anderson; special nephew, Willie Cooper;  God daughter, Sylvia Berrien; devoted nieces, grand nieces, nephews, grandnephews, and cousins; special friends, Inell Berrien, Kim Livingston, and Oteller Lowe; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, December 06, 2024, at Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, 5909 Vel St., Wimauma, FL, 33598 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
