Mrs. Linda Padgett

Mrs. Linda G. Padgett of Tampa FL, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2025. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 3005 E. Ellicott Street, Tampa, FL 33610, where Rev. Adrian Reid Sr. is the Pastor, and Minister Bruce Bryant, eulogist. The interment will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, 4406 E. Chelsea Street, Tampa, FL 33610.

Mrs. Linda Padgett was a native of Jasper, FL and a resident of Tampa for 52 years. She attended Bethune Cookman College, graduating with a B.S Degree, and later attended University of Tampa earning her Master's degree. She was a faithful and dutiful member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church where she served as Church Clerk, Sunday School Superintendent, VBS Principal, and many other positions during her 50 years of membership. She was employed by Hillsborough County Schools as a PE Coach for over 40 years.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her loving husband, James A. Padgett, Sr.; sons, Jonathan A. Padgett (Amaris), Mark Padgett Sr. (Kelley), and James “Jamie” Padgett II (Kimberly); daughter, Tracy Miller (Donte); and a host of grandchildren, cousins, nephews, and nieces.

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025, at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 3005 E. Ellicott Street, Tampa, FL 33610 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
