Mrs. Lois S. Berry

Mrs. Lois S. Berry of Tampa, FL passed away on Friday, May 16, 2025. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606, with Pastor Donald Lott, Officiating. The interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, 4406 E. Chelsea Street, Tampa, FL 33610.

Lois S. Berry was born August 21, 1936, in Dublin, Georgia. Lois was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and retired from Tampa General Hospital. Her children were her loving caretakers and took care of her until God called her home.  She will be missed for her big smile and hearty laugh, her feisty spirit and her love for music. She was never without a song in her heart, but she always had a dance in her feet while singing gospel hymns and old jazz and blues.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Ralph H. Berry, Sr.; parents, Bud and Annie Solomon; and her brother, David Solomon.

She leaves loving and precious memories to be cherished by: her daughters, Bobbie Solomon and LaShawn Berry; sons, Ralph Berry (Audrey) and David Berry (Robin); grandchildren, Kevin Hudson (Amy), Dyschawne Hudson, Jamond Hudson (Crystal), David and Brittani Berry, Channing Gamble, Brandon Berry, Jabrahn Telfare (Tamara), and Camera and Jordan Goins; sister-in-law, Lillian Corley; brothers-in-law, Eddie Warren and Clarence Warren; and a host of nieces, nephews, 15 great grands, cousins, and other loving family and friends.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
