Mrs. Lossie Hearns Adams

Mrs. Lossie Hearns Adams of Tampa, FL, entered her eternal rest on Sunday, August 3, 2025.  Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of West Tampa, 1302 N. Willow Avenue, Tampa, FL 33607, with Rev Dr Rayford Harper, Officiating. Interment will follow in Orange Hill Cemetery, 4900 E. Chelsea Street, Tampa, FL 33610.

Lossie Hearns Adams was the loving mother of three sons: Daniel Donell Sr, Nero Borders Jr., and Gregory Earl Borders.  She was born and raised in Greenwood, Florida, and relocated to Tampa, FL in 1960. Lossie worked numerous jobs, including Sun State Sports Wear, Thacher Glass, Inc., and culminated her employment with the Hillsborough County School System. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of West Tampa, Florida, for over fifty years, where she served on the Usher Board and other various committees. 

She leaves to cherish her memory: a loving husband (Julius); three sons; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and four sisters.  

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
