Mrs. Mary Thornton

Mrs. Mary Thornton of Tampa, FL, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025, 2:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, with Reverand Donelle White, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4613 E. Hanna Ave, Tampa, FL 33610.

Mrs. Mary Thorton was a native of Panama City, FL, and a resident of Tampa for over 60 years. She was born in Phoenix, Alabama, and retired as a School Board Employee in Hillsborough County.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her sons, Gregory Alexander (Linda), Kenny Alexander, Ira Thornton Jr. (Toni), and Alex Thornton; daughters, Gwen Blangor (Mike), and Vicky Reed (John); cherished granddaughters, Kina Boyd, and London Porter; cherished grandsons, Jerome Blangor Sr. and Allan Alexander  sisters, Deloris Gary Jones (Wayne), and Faye Hicks (Tommy); brothers, Eugene Gary (Ella) and Marcie Rivers (Octavia); special friend, Mrs Linda; and a host of other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
