Mrs. Mattie B. Lewis-Johnson

Mrs. Mattie B. Lewis-Johnson of Tampa, FL passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2025. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025, 10:00 a.m. at Loving Hill Primitive Baptist Church, with Elder Leland L. Johnson Sr., Officiating. Interment will follow in Campbellton, FL in Holy Neck Cemetery on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.

Mrs. Mattie B. Lewis-Johnson was a native of Florida and a resident of Tampa for 60 years. She attended school in Jackson County and was a member of New Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church and later Loving Hill Primitive Baptist Church. She was employed as a Des Attendant with Hillsborough County School Board.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her beloved husband, Lieutenant Johnson; 3 sons, Odell Lewis Jr. (Deborah), Christopher Lewis, and Donal Lewis; daughter, Gloria Underwood (Larry); 2 Stepdaughters, Myra Nelson, and Alice Pittman; 3 sisters, Louise Anderson, Pearlie Robinson, and Betty J.  Lewis; brother-in-law, Robert Lewis (Carrie); 2 sisters-in-law, Lola Capehart, and Ida Lewis; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
