Melany Williams of Tampa, FL passed away on Monday, May 15, 2023. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606 with Rev. Donald McBride, Officiating. The Interment will follow In Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610. MASK RECOMMENDED.
Melany Williams was born to the late Ida Smith in Tampa on October 23, 1955. She attended Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, was employed at Medco Pharmaceuticals as a Data Entry Clerk and was a Union Steward until she retired. She was an active member of the Blake High Booster Club.
She is preceded in death by: her mother, Ida Smith; brother, Elder Glen Smith; grandmother, Emma Smith; grandfather, Glen Smith; grandson, Will A. Williams III; aunt, Lilly Jackson; uncle, Rev. Frank Jackson; brothers-in-law, Charlie Monts, and Nathaniel Monts; sisters-in-law, Theresa Williams, and Aretha Williams; and nephew, Michael Evans.
She is survived by: her husband, Will A. Williams Sr.; sons, Will A. Williams Jr. (Laryssia), and Antonio Williams (Sabrina); daughter, Theresa Williams Moultrie (Daland); grandchildren, Quinadra Williams, Shainiqua Williams, Shain Williams, Ja’Maela Williams, Sumarra Williams, Jamareon Moultrie, Jamaria Moultrie, Antonio Williams Jr., Antwan Williams, Xavier Williams, and Antoniya Williams; great-grandchildren, Jordan Galford, Charlii Morris, and Noah Williams-Suah; cousins, Betty Wainwright, and Elizabeth Marion (John); sisters-in-law, Helen Adams, Pauline Williams, Cheyanne Monts, and Mary Monts; nieces and nephews, Helen Smith, Glenda Smith, Virginia Santana, Tracy Allen, Rosario Fort, Norman Beso Allen, Master Rubio Allen, Donald Monts (Avikki), Nathanial Monts (Tamekia), Perman Monts (Norma), Janice Carr (Fidell) Linda Homer, Sonja Homer, Sylvia Monts Thomas, Willie Adams, Charlie Adams (Rita) Donna Broadnax (Adrian) Kim Adams, Inez McNeal, Andre Williams, Daniel Williams, Calvin Young Jr., Alex Haynes (Nancy), and Alexis Haynes; special friends, Genieva Williams, Virginia Conley, Sheryl Jackson, Edward Mills, Ronald Franklin, Debra Howard, and the Class of 1973 Blake High School Member; and a host of other family and friends.
