Mrs. Mildred G. Harrell Obituary

Born December 31, 1939, Mildred was raised in Macon, Georgia, by her grandparents, Homer and Bessie Green. She is the daughter of Mamie Lee Green Shy Kinsey. Her education began in Bibb County Public Schools in Macon, Georgia, and she graduated from Howard W. Blake HS in Tampa, Florida.

Mildred was married to Phil Warren Harrell Senior and resided in Tampa, FL., where they were devoted to providing a loving home to their four children, Deborah, Pamela, Phil Jr., and Eric Sr., for 20 years before becoming a widow in 1975.

Mildred made lifelong friendships and a career at Honeywell as a technician in the Special Assembly Department and Receiving & Inspection, where she excelled and retired after receiving honors and accolades for her stellar workmanship.  During her years at Honeywell, Mildred developed lifelong friends whom she cherished dearly. 

Mama, Grandma, GG Ma, Auntie Mick, as she was affectionately called by family and friends, was known for her kindness and generosity.  Her home was always open for love, wisdom, guidance, fashion, and interior design advice.

She is preceded in death by: her grandparents, Homer and Bessie; mother, Mamie Lee; husband, Phil Sr.; children, Eric, Pamela and Phil Jr.; uncles Johnny, Robert (Lucille) Earnest, Claude, AW, and Homer (Mae Lena); aunts, Bessie Dee and Mattie Ree; cousins, Delores (like a sister), Rene, Charles, Randy, Marquette, Shirley, Precious, Terry Lee, James Leon, Betty Jean, Bobby Clarence, Andrew, Mary Bell, Ida Pearl, and Melvin; and best friend, Betty. 

She leaves to cherish her memory and legacy: her oldest daughter, Deborah Howard; grandsons, Demetrius (Wanda), Eric Jr, Trevione, Keione, and Eric III; granddaughters, Nicole (Jahi), Erica, Sherika; 14 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, special cousins, and close friends Vera, Rudine, Patricia, and Janet.
