Minnie Mae Smith was born on October 17, 1935, in Vienna, GA, to Jessie and Annie Bailey. Minnie, the eldest of five children, was a devoted mother and grandmother. She loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart. Her courage and unwavering faith in God were evident as she continued to trust Him throughout her transition.
Minnie was preceded in death by: her parents, Jessie and Annie Pearl Bailey; husband, Willie Smith, Jr.; nephew, Michael D. Lee; son, Ray A. Bailey; brother-in-law, Albert Lee Sr.; and niece, LaShon Wilkins.
She leaves to cherish her memory: children, Twyla Hall and Tony D. Smith, Sr. (Debra); grandchildren, Kenya Hall, Kenneth Hall (Active Duty), Jessica Bailey, Erica Bailey, Tony D. Smith, Jr. (Shae), and Adonis Smith; great grandchildren, Gabriel Hall, Jayla Bailey, Ricky Scott, Marley Hall, Kason Hall, Jada Bailey, Jaden Bailey, Dontavius Henderson, Jr., Tony D. Smith III and Valentino Young; two sisters, Fannie Lee, and Marvene (Homer) Patrick, Jr.; two brothers, Jessie Bailey, Jr. and Carlton (Barbara) Bailey; their children, Yolanda R. Lee, Albert (Pamela) Lee, Jr., Sonja McAllister, Arlita Lee, LaVon Williams, Dione (Arthur) Neal, Tanya Patrick, Homer (Annie) Patrick III, Arsie Hairston, Alicia Jackson, Tanja Bryant, Kevin Bailey, and Shawn Bailey and a host of cousins, family and close friends.
Our family is left with an indescribable void that cannot be filled. We are deeply saddened, but we know that Minnie knew she was loved. Yes, she will be greatly missed, but we can find comfort in knowing that she knew God as her own personal Savior.
