Mrs. Myrthel “Cookie” Howard of Valrico, FL passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2025. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606 with Bishop Rick Nelson IV, Officiating.
Mrs. Myrthel Howard was a native of Karnak, Illinois and a resident of Tampa for 11 years. She attended Lincoln High School in Lincoln, Nebraska. She was employed at Lucas County Juvenile Court. She dedicated her life to caring for her youngest son who is Autistic.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her children, David Claypool Sr. (Angela), Jermaine Howard, and Mark Claypool Sr.; siblings, Lenora Pettaway, Aquila Ellis, Dale Claypool, Darrell Claypool (Linda); grandchildren, DiAnjah Jackson (Chris), Donte Claypool, Monica Claypool, David Claypool Jr., and Mark Claypool Jr.; great grandchildren, Chylo Jackson, Zayden Claypool, Mark Claypool lll, BW Burnett V, Legend Claypool, Marion Claypool, Brycen Burnett, Zendaya Claypool, Zayden Lee, Cayden Jackson, Abigal Sutton, Miguel Sutton, Aubri French Henry, Marionna Davis- Claypool, Quran Ulis, and Kyrin Ulis; and a host of other family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
