Mrs. Rosemary Bonner

Mrs. Rosemary Spencer Bonner of Valrico, FL entered eternal rest Sunday, December 22, 2024.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at Allen Temple African Methodist Episcopal Church, 2101 Lowe Street, Tampa, FL 33605, with Reverend Kirk R. Bogen, Officiating.  Interment will be held on Monday, January 6, 2025, in Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Rd 72, Sarasota, FL 34241.

Rosemary Spencer Bonner was born on February 25, 1951.  She was a native of Lowell, NC, and a resident of the Tampa area for 30 years.  She was educated in the Gaston County, NC public schools after which she attended Riverside College of Health Sciences, graduating from the Professional Nursing program.  As a military wife, she had the experience of working at many hospitals throughout the U.S. as well as Spain.  Upon settling in Florida, she worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa.  After 44 years as a Registered Nurse, she retired.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Tyrone W. Bonner; sons, Tyrone W. Bonner Jr. (Deitra) and Christopher A. Bonner; sister, Beverly S. McKinney; sisters-in-law, Shirley Lamar (Melvin) and Marilyn Spencer; granddaughters, Lauren E. Bonner and Emery L. Bonner; 5 nephews; 2 nieces; several grandnieces and grandnephews; and a host of cousins and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025, at Allen Temple African Methodist Episcopal Church, 2101 Lowe St, Tampa, FL 33605, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
