Mrs. Summerville White Obituary

Summerville Evelyn "Evie" White passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2022, after an exhausting battle with a debilitating and ravishing form of Dementia. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022, 9:00 a.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Ave Tampa, FL 33606.

Summerville was born into a fairly large family, the fifth girl of six girls and one son, on October 30, 1938, to Ora Dee and James Jones in Gilbert, Va. She met the love of her life, Army Spec5 William Henry White and they wed in Pennsylvania, going on to have two daughters, Loretta White Ayres and Michelle Marie Brooker and a son, the late William Henry White, Jr.

She excelled at supporting others through her passion and career in nursing and home health care, which she retired from in 2002.  Summerville was passionate about people, always the "hostess with the mostest", filling her home with warmth and kindness and we will miss her greatly.

She is survived by: her brother, Russell W. Jones; two daughters, Loretta W. Ayres, and Michelle Marie Brooker; grandchildren, Aliza N. Ayres, Jesse D. S. Thomasson, LeGrande Brooker, and Ian Brooker; 9 great grandchildren; and a plethora of nieces and nephews.

Arrangements entrusted to RAY WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME, Rhodes & Northern, Owners.
