Obituary
Mrs. Valerie Denise “Sweetie” Curry passed away Monday April 24th, 2023. A Visitation will be
held on Thursday, May 4, 2023, 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606. MASK RECOMMENDED.
Valerie was a loving, feisty, strong, caring, energetic, and full of life person. She will be missed dearly. She was a native of Miami, FL but resided in Tampa, FL. She loved helping her elderly community, family, and friends and enjoyed life to the fullest. She had 9 kids.
She was preceded in death by: her 2 daughters.
Valerie leaves to cherish her memories: her only son, Johnny Jones; 6 siblings; friends, Mattie Brinson, and Tammy Williams, whom she considered her daughter; special friend, Calvin Mathews; like a sister, Tammy Coleman; niece, Erica (Marco) Williams; and a host of other family and friends.
