Mrs. Willie Penny Whetstone

Mrs. Willie Penny Whetstone aka “Mrs. B” passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue Tampa, FL 33606, with Pastor Prentiss Davis, Officiating. Interment to be held Tuesday March 28, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at Rest Haven Memorial Cemetery. MASK RECOMMENDED.

Mrs. Willie Penny Whetstone (Mrs. B) was born on May 24, 1938, to parents Willie and Emma Penny in Archer, Florida. Willie B Penny met and married William Whetstone and to this union six children were born. She attended the public schools of Archer, Florida.

Mrs. Willie B Whetstone was saved and sanctified at an early age. She was a member of Brown Memorial COGIC under the former leadership of Bishop Matthew J. Williams and current Bishop Anthony W. Gilyard.

Mrs. Whetstone was preceded in death by: her Husband, William Whetstone; Daughter, Barbara Sampson; Grandson, Antonio Powell; Parents, Willie, and Emma Penny; Sisters, Yvonne Penny, and Minnie Reaves; and Brothers, Sylvester Penny, Roger Penny, Jerome Penny, and Cornelius Penny.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her Children, Jacci McCloud, William Roy Whetstone Jr., Terry Whetstone, Billy Whetstone, and Wanda Powell; Grandchildren, Andrea, Santonja, Tiara, Satura, Frederick, Reginald, and William III; Godson, Edward Clark; Goddaughter, Felicia Smith Clark; Brother, Bernie Penny(Leah); and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday March 24, 2023, 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.  MASK RECOMMENDED.
