Ms. Angela L. Sails

Ms. Angela LaToya Sails of Tampa, FL, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2025. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025, 1:00 p.m. at Rebirth Missionary Baptist Church, 1924 East Comanche Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610, Reverend Leon Gallon, Officiating.

Angela LaToya Sails was born to Janet and Jerry Sails on December 9, 1971. She was a lifelong resident of Tampa and was educated in the Hillsborough County public school system. After graduating, she continued her education, becoming a certified nursing assistant for 15 years, then she went on to work for Sodexo for 20 years.

Angela loved spending time with her grandkids and watching them grow from infants to the present day. She enjoyed spending time with her family and playing games with them. She was a comedy show fanatic, and her favorite comedian was Luenell Campbell. When Angela walked through the door, everyone knew the activities were about to begin. 

She was preceded in death by: her daughter, LaQuetta Conroy; her father, Jerry Sails; and her cousin, Talmadge Big T Jones.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her children, Junella Tim (Jacquelyne Simmons), RiKayla Sails, Rikkie Collins, Lamar Sails, and Javaraius Sails; grandchildren, Elijah Brazell, Makhai Shaw, Amari Sails, Ja’Mier Jackson, Malakhi Anderson, La’mariya Sails, Hasuni Brown jr, Samiya Sails, Alexia Sails, Chase Ray, Lamar Sails jr, Dontavious Brown, Kentrell Brown, Krishawn Brown, Kamadii Brown, Leondre Johnson Jr., I’Ziriah Sails, and Levi Sails.; mother, Janet Sails; sister, Janelle Pryor; brother, Kevin Sails; closest friend, Harriett Bogan (and family); Goddaughters, Tiayonna Pringle and Alexis Stanley; and a host of other uncles, aunts, cousins, and former coworkers.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
