On Monday, March 16, 2026, God called Ms. Arva Yolanda Williams home to eternal rest. She was deeply loved and will forever be remembered. Today, we honor her life, her strength, and the legacy she leaves behind. Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606, with Reverend Nathaniel Love, Officiating.
Ms. Arva Yolanda Williams was born on November 16, 1963, in Tampa, Florida, to Gertrude and Waymon Williams. She was the youngest of five children. From a young age, Arva demonstrated quiet strength, determination, and resilience. She graduated from the Hillsborough County Public Schools and faced life’s challenges with grace and perseverance.
During her youth, Arva was an active member of the Girl Scouts, an experience that helped shape her strong sense of community and service to others. At an early age, Arva gave her life to Christ, and her faith remained an important part of her life. She was a member of Word of Grace Church, where she found spiritual grounding, encouragement, and community.
Arva was a devoted and loving mother to her only child, Sean Whitehead, whom she cherished deeply. She also shared a special bond with her beloved dog, Princess, who brought her
comfort and joy.
She was preceded in death by: her father, Waymon Williams, and her nephews, Kevin Williams and Glenn Williams.
She leaves cherished memories with: her only child, Sean Whitehead; her mother, Eller Gertrude Williams; sister, Thelma Williams Campbell of Orlando, FL; brothers, Dr. Leroy Williams (Anita) of Oakhill, VA, Chester Waymon Williams Jr. (Gretchen-Elizabeth) of Lithia, FL, and John W. Williams (Sylvia) of Tampa, FL; along with her many nieces and nephews, Al Campbell, Maurice Campbell, Anthony Campbell, Sydney Williams, Taylor Williams, Kristina Dhountal (Jesse), Kelly Williams, Sherika Williams, Cory Coy, Shayla Addison (Rodney), and Sharee Hester (Jeremiae); and a host of extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 3, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
