Ms. Barbara Bell Obituary

Ms. Barbara Bell of Seffner, FL 33584 passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606, with Apostle Donald R. Lott, Jr, Officiating.

Barbara Lynn Bell was born January 28, 1957 to Deacon Ivory and Deaconess Lucille Ferguson. Barbara was a member of St. John Progressive Missionary Baptist Church where she accepted Christ at a young age and was baptized by the late Reverend F.G. Hilton. Barbara attended the public schools of Hillsborough County and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School, Class of 1974.

After 37 years of dedicated service, Barbara retired from the City of Tampa. In her free time, her greatest passions were cruising on large vessels and sewing quilts, making baby clothes, and other custom items.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Ivory and Lucille Ferguson; and her sister, Ivory Rodriguez.

She leaves to cherish her memory a host of family and friends: her one and only daughter, Stephanie Bell (Omar); faithful and loving companion, Rufus Blake; sister, Flora J. Mims (Reverend Richard); aunts, Dorothy West, Ruby Williams (Robert ); Maggie Brown and Myrtle Brown; uncle, Shelly Brown, Jr. (Shirley); niece, Dianna L. Lott; nephews, Apostle Donald Lott, Jr. (Tiffany), Jose A. Rodriguez III (Kandi) and Ricardo Rodriguez (Monica) and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins from Tampa, Gainesville, Quincy, Miami and Tallahassee, FL.
