Ms. Carolyn Hunter

Ms. Carolyn Hunter of Tampa, FL passed away on Monday, January 6, 2025. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606 with Rev. Jay L. Jackson, Officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610.

Carolyn Hunter was born on January 11, 1950, to Ophelia Hunter and Eddie Hunter Sr. in Savannah, Georgia. She attended Dumbar Elementary and Hillsborough High School with a diploma at 19. 

She was preceded in death by: parents, Eddie and Ophelia Hunter; and sisters, Jacquelyn Morgan and Sandra Hunter. 

Carolyn Hunter leaves to cherish precious memories with: a loving and devoted son, Kenyon Hunter; sisters, Gwendolyn (Deacon Edward Carlton), and Cathy Hunter; brothers, Willie A. Williams, and Eddie Hunter Jr. (Gwendolyn Hunter); grandchildren, Kenyaida Hunter (Corey Berrien), D’Asia Lott (Charles Bryant), and Kenyon Hunter Jr. (Karina Fulks); great-grandchildren, Corey Jr. Berrien, Si’yen Johnson, Charlie Bryant, Khalani Berrien, and Khyri Berrien; five nieces, Jennifer McCarr, Chyrell Edmond, Cherish Hunter, Wendy Hunter, and Lawanda William; six nephews, Derrick Hunter, Gerald Hunter, Antonio Hunter, Tyvan Sunday, Wesley Hunter, and Chad Hunter; a loving bonus daughter, Tiffany Jenkins; special friend, Mamie Fells; and a host of great nephew and great nieces, and cousins.

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025, at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
