Ms. Lessie Thompson Pleasants of Tampa, FL passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2022. A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022, 4:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue Tampa FL 33606. MASK RECOMMENDED.

Lessie Thompson Pleasants was born August 04, 1931, to Haywood and Emma Gilley Thompson Sr.  She was united in marriage with Russell Elwood Pleasants, to this union, three children were born.

She was preceded in death by: her husband; parents; brother, Haywood Thompson Jr.; and granddaughter, Teresa Martin.

Lessie leaves to cherish her memory: her three daughters, Gwendolyn Hagen, Alice Pleasants, and Laura VanGorden all of Tampa, FL.; nine grandchildren, Katrina Westry of Albany, GA., Armond Hagen of Tampa, FL., Edwin Hagen of Avondale, AR., Elwood Pleasants of Tampa, FL., Elijah Jackson of Tampa, FL., Dana Sharp of Thomasville, GA., Stephanie Burgos of New Mexico, Lawrence Olaogun of Tampa, FL. and Charlena Olaogun of Tampa, FL.; nineteen great grandchildren; twelve great great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

The visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 16, 2022, at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue Tampa, FL 33606. MASK RECOMMENDED.
