Ms. Lina Tillman

Mrs. Lina Tillman passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2022. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 13, 2022, 2:00 p.m. at Tyer Temple United Methodist Church, 3305 N. 15th Street, Tampa, FL 33605, with Pastor Douglas Walker, Officiating. MASK RECOMMENDED.

Mrs. Lina was a native of Tampa, Fl, and a resident of Tampa for 91 years. She attended Middleton High School Class of 1950, Hillsborough Community College and was a member of Tyer Temple United Methodist Church. She was employed as a Pre School-Teacher at Rosa Valdez Learning Center, where she retired after 36 years.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Johnny James Sr., and Lina Mae James; daughter, Denise C. Ferguson; son, Ronnie J. Tillman; brothers, Johnny James and Willie James; and nephews, Anthony Frederick, Nathaniel James, and Robert Gillespie.

She leaves to cherish her memory: devoted granddaughters, Davina Laster (Philip), Dalena Sharp (McKinsie), and Angel Reid (Larry); grandson, Roddrick Tillman; great granddaughters, Makayla Sharp, Deja Sharp, Heaven Garcia, Ellnah Garcia, and Serenity Garcia; great grandsons, Xavier Laster Sr., Zachary Laster, Amir Sharp, and Gabriel Garcia; great great granddaughter, Zariyah Laster; great great grandsons, Xavier Laster Jr., Zaylin Laster, Ace Laster, King Laster, and Ruhn Garcia; nieces, Beverly James, and Christina Luke-James; nephews, Frederick Herns, Jessie James, and Johnny James; God-sons, Rene Williams, and William Dean; and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday, August 11, 2022, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606. MASK RECOMMENDED.
