Ms. Martha Calton of Tampa, FL, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2026. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606, with Pastor Donald Lott, Officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610.
Martha Calton was born on July 23, 1941, to Randall Calton Sr. and Arcenia Curtis of Cochran, GA.
Ms. Calton attended Cochran High School. She was a member of New Bright and Morning Star Church. In her successful and fulfilling career, she retired from both Tampa General Hospital and Memorial Hospital.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her daughter, Angela Calton; son, Christopher Calton; sister, Rosetta Calton; brother, Randal Calton Jr.; and niece, Sharon Tolbert.
She leaves to cherish her memories: three sons, Charles Calton, Rodney Williams, and Jermaine Dawes all of Tampa, FL; ten sisters, Mary Ann Jones, Patricia Calton, Rita C. Love, Mary L. Newsom and Catherine Taylor, all of Cochran, GA, Lesa M. Calton of Columbus, GA, Rosetta Carter, Scholanda Curtis, and Jackie Evertt, all of Tampa, FL; one brother, Tommy Calton of Fort Polk City, FL; two nephews, Roderick Carter and Quint Curtis; thirteen grandchildren, Romain (Victoria), April (Nate), Tyrone, James, Antonio (Saterria), Elizabeth (Jay), Asya, Sharika (Sherman), Rodney Jr., Rodryck, Jeremiah, Rodnae, and Free, all of Tampa, FL; twenty-two great-grands, Romain Jr., Ronisha, Romiyah, Roland, Rolanda, Ro’Kobe, William, Romello, Royal, Ebony, Willyon, Willniya, Mikela, Simmel, Julianna, Julian, Clayton, Clayon, Tyrone Jr., Tylin, Asia, and Baby Love, all of Tampa, FL; one niece, Ronisha (Sylvester); one Godson, Ricky Anderson of Tampa, FL; close friends, Twanda ”Ballie”, Robert Earl, Mary Hicks, Mary Taylor, Pat Jackson, Brinagal, and Ms. Cynt; and a host of sorrowing family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
